Got fed up waiting for the glovebox stereo to arrive... while picking up some headlamp bulbs at the local car spares store I saw they had a Sony amp with 50% off and my mind started turning... could I plug my iPod into the amp and have sound...?

I mounted the amp on the card wiring cover with some reinforcement behind, wired it into the live and accessories feeds, grounded it, plugged in a iPod stereo connector cable and Gertie now has sound... The speakers are mounted in the kick panels under the rear bench...

The cable is fed through a hole in the glove box liner; the card started to tear around the hole so I put insulation tape around the edges, a grommet and more tape over the grommet to make it stronger... iPod plugs in and works great...

Thought I'd put some pictures of the spotlight mount up as well, get a lot of questions about this. The base of the lamp swivels and is bolted direct through the front hood. I got a fog-light wiring kit from Halfords and used a NOS switch under the dash. The wire runs up through the hood strip clips... and just like the iPod & amp it works...!
